Carissa Henderson is a multi-Emmy-nominated filmmaker and director of photography recognized for her instinctive, elevated cinema vérité style. With more than a decade of documentary work grounded in award-winning journalism, she has developed a reputation for immersive, character-driven storytelling that captures intimate human moments with clarity and sensitivity.
Working across documentary, editorial, and branded storytelling, Carissa approaches filmmaking with patience, empathy, and a deep commitment to authenticity. She is currently filming an expansive observational documentary following NASA’s Artemis Program for National Geographic, continuing her exploration of stories that connect individual experience to larger cultural and historical movements.
